The Journal of Holistic Health and Well-Being (JHHWB) is committed to:

Scope

JHHWB welcomes original research, reviews, case reports, hypotheses, and commentaries spanning the following nine interdisciplinary domains:

Mind-Body Connection, Consciousness and Medicine

Mind, body, and consciousness; philosophical inquiries into consciousness, cognitive neuroscience of its neural correlates, phenomenological and existential analyses, cultural/anthropological studies of embodied practice, medical considerations, and artistic expressions. Mindfulness and meditation, yoga, psychoneuroimmunology, integrative oncology, psychotherapy and counselling.

Complementary and Integrative Medicine

Ayurveda; Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine; Homeopathy; Naturopathy; Aromatherapy; Herbal medicine.

Nutrition and Holistic Health

Mind-gut connection; chronic disease prevention; personalised and plant-based nutrition; nutrition education; phytochemicals; diet in aging; nutrition and mental health in children/adolescents/women; immune system; sustainable food systems and ethics.

Spirituality and Well-Being

Philosophical, theological, and religious perspectives on spirituality; comparative studies; phenomenological explorations vis-à-vis well-being; consciousness and spirituality; religion and health; meaning and purpose; transpersonal psychology.

Lifestyle, Social and Environmental Implications

Exercise science, sleep hygiene, stress management, functional medicine, ecopsychology, exposure to environmental toxins and sustainable living.

Gold Open Access

All articles are freely and permanently available to readers worldwide immediately upon publication, with no subscription fees or paywalls. Publication costs are covered by a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) paid by authors or their institutions.

All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0) licence, which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Online Only

JHHWB is an online-only publication. There is no print edition. Articles are published in HTML and PDF formats and assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Double-Blind Peer Review

All research articles undergo rigorous double-blind peer review, ensuring both reviewer and author anonymity. The editorial team aims to provide a first decision within 4–6 weeks of submission.
